The Execution Manager is a strategic professional who closely follows the latest trends in their field and adapts them for application within their job. Citi’s Private Company Access team sits within the Global Access Strategies Division within the Client Group, connecting our institutional clients with private corporates, industry experts, and theme-related events, as part of our research advisory offering. The whole team works closely with Research, Equity Sales, Trading, and Banking. Our objective is to build a strategy of engagement with private companies and, in so doing, deliver a seamless client experience, giving Citi the best possible chance of being mandated on private capital raising opportunities, IPOs, and M&A opportunities. We are focused on working with other areas of Citi such as liquidity solutions, wealth, and ventures to bring the one Citi franchise together for the benefit of our clients.
The team provides a comprehensive program of conferences, seminars, and client events, either on enduring topics or through reacting rapidly to breaking news by marshalling key experts from Citi and tapping into external thought leaders.
Job Purpose: This role is critical to the effective delivery and execution of events that the team puts together to connect private companies and investors. The successful candidate will work closely with the broader team to understand best practices to effectively manage all elements of the events. The successful candidate will be crucial in giving both internal stakeholders and external clients a seamless experience. This requires close coordination with the corporate access team and the broader sales and banking teams. The role requires meticulous attention to detail in making judgments and recommendations. This position frequently addresses variable issues with potentially broader business impact, necessitating professional judgment in interpreting data and results. The role has a direct impact on clients’ perception of Citi as a broader institution, so it is important the successful candidate is responsive and attentive to client requests.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Corporate Access team to deliver conferences and other events such as Webcasts, non-deal roadshows, and roundtables. This includes, but is not limited to:
- 1-on-1 and group meeting scheduling
- Agenda planning
- Invitation tracking and sending
- Work to understand the Citi systems and ways of working to effectively execute against objectives.
- Work with sales, IB, ECM, and other teams to develop and execute investor targeting strategies for corporates.
- Work with broader areas of Citi to maximise collaboration for complex events. This includes working with all stakeholders with access to investors and across banking for corporate targeting.
- Work constructively and proactively to find solutions to problems and escalate issues as appropriate.
- Work with control functions such as Legal, Compliance, Market and Credit Risk, Audit, Finance in order to follow governance and control infrastructure.
- Build a culture of responsible finance, good governance and supervision, expense discipline, and ethics.
- Appropriately assess risk/reward of transactions when making business decisions; demonstrating proper consideration for the firm’s reputation.
- Adhere to Citi’s Code of Conduct and the Plan of Supervision for Global Markets and Securities Services.
- Adhere to all policies and procedures as defined by your role which will be communicated.
- Obtain and maintain all registrations/licenses which are required for your role, within the appropriate timeframe.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Education:
