Team/Role Overview

The Markets Programme Execution and Transformation team works with all Markets businesses and Citi functions, including Legal, Compliance, Finance, Risk, Operations and Technology to identify, mobilise and execute responses to regulatory and cross-business transformational projects.

The primary mission of the team is to design and implement integrated solutions and sustainable capabilities in the most efficient and effective way for Markets and its clients.

What you’ll do

Project Coordination & Support

  • Assist senior project managers in developing and maintaining project plans, including timelines, resources, and budgets.
  • Track project progress against the plan and identify potential roadblocks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Markets Businesses/ Risk and Control, Operations, Technology, Finance, Compliance, Legal to define project scope, objectives and deliverables, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Support the creation of project documentation, such as meeting minutes, status reports, and presentations.

Stakeholder Management & Communication

  • Assist with stakeholder communication, ensuring timely updates and information dissemination.
  • Prepare and distribute project status reports to relevant stakeholders.
  • Support the facilitation of project meetings and workshops.

Requirements Gathering & Analysis

  • Assist in gathering and documenting business requirements, working closely with business analysts and stakeholders.
  • Support the analysis of requirements and the development of solutions.

Risk Management & Issue Tracking

  • Assist in identifying and documenting project risks and issues.
  • Support the development and implementation of risk mitigation strategies.
  • Track and monitor project issues, ensuring timely resolution.

Project Management Best Practices

  • Learn and apply project management methodologies and best practices.
  • Adhere to Citi's Project Management policies and standards.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve project management skills and knowledge.
  • What we’ll need from you
  • Proven relevant experience in a project-related environment.

This can include internships, academic projects, or part-time roles where project management principles were applied within the financial service industry.

  • Experience within Capital Markets is a plus, but not required.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills are crucial for effective interaction with stakeholders at all levels.

This includes the ability to clearly articulate project updates, risks, and issues.

  • Organization & Planning: Strong organizational and planning skills are essential for managing multiple tasks, prioritizing effectively, and meeting deadlines.
  • Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to analyze problems, identify root causes, and develop effective solutions.
  • Technical

Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Power Point, Word) is required.

Familiarity with project management software (e. g., PTS, Microsoft Project, Jira) is a plus.

  • Financial Markets Knowledge: A basic understanding of financial markets and instruments is highly desirable.
  • Project Management Methodologies: Familiarity with project management methodologies (e. g., Agile, Waterfall) is a plus.
