The Derivatives Settlements Operations team is currently recruiting for a Product Development VP. This leadership role is critical to our transformation agenda, responsible for leveraging data analytics to redefine our OTC Settlements and Payments operating model. The successful candidate will spearhead data‑driven initiatives to deliver tangible control enhancements and significant commercial benefits. By analyzing complex datasets, you will uncover optimisation opportunities and partner with Operations, Technology, and Product teams to design, validate, and execute a best‑in‑class platform and process strategy.
Responsibilities
- Gain in‑depth expertise of Citi’s OTC derivative products and Payments flows & operations platforms.
- Lead forensic reviews of operational processes to diagnose underlying issues and inform the design of strategic, sustainable solutions.
- Conduct in‑depth analysis of large‑scale settlement and payment datasets to identify key optimisation opportunities, process inefficiencies, and control weaknesses.
- Translate analytical insights into compelling, data‑backed business cases and investment proposals that clearly articulate cost‑benefit analysis and risk mitigation advantages.
- Deliver detailed business requirements for Technology coding.
- Partner with Technology and Process Engineering teams to develop and implement advanced KPI visualisations, process maps and dashboards, transforming raw data into strategic business intelligence.
- Champion the practical application of AI, low‑code automation, and generative AI tools to accelerate analysis and pioneer new approaches to operational challenges.
- Identify and manage relationships with key stakeholders across the organisation, ensuring project scope is aligned with business objectives and driving successful execution of delivery plans.
- Drive adherence to established processes, methods, and standards to support programme delivery, managing the timely communication of status, issues, and risks to senior management.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to policy, applying sound ethical judgement, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency and accountability.
What we’ll need from you
- Data Analytics & Process Mapping: Extensive, relevant experience in applying data analytics and process mapping to drive business transformation and strategic change.
- Operations or technology experience, with a strong preference for experience in Global Markets, specifically within Derivatives, Payments, or Settlements operations.
- Demonstrated consistent track record as a Business Analyst participating in the delivery of complex strategic initiatives.
- Proven experience of operating in close partnership with Banking Technology teams and external technology vendors to deliver solutions.
- Experience with practical AI (CoPilot, Devin etc) is desirable.
- Experience or knowledge of low‑code automation or generative AI tooling is highly desirable.
- A proactive, results‑oriented mindset with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of translating complex data into clear strategic imperatives.
- Master’s degree (MBA), relevant professional certifications (e.g., CFA, PMP, etc.) or securities licences a plus (e.g., series 7, 99, etc.).
