Data Analytics & Process Transformation Lead (Derivative Settlements Operations)
Team/Role Overview
The Derivatives Settlements Operations team is recruiting for a Senior Product Development leader at the SVP level. This is a senior leadership role owning the end‑to‑end transformation agenda for OTC Settlements and Payments across multiple product lines. The successful candidate will set the strategic direction for data‑driven transformation, own the investment portfolio and roadmap, and act as the primary senior interlock between Operations, Technology, and Product leadership. This role carries accountability for the commercial and control outcomes of the broader transformation program, and for building and mentoring a team of Product Development VPs and Analysts.
What you will do
- Own and evolve the strategic vision and multi‑year roadmap for the OTC Settlements and Payments target operating model, aligning it to broader Markets Operations transformation objectives
- Provide senior oversight of forensic reviews across operational processes, ensuring diagnostic findings translate into enterprise‑grade, sustainable solutions
- Direct large‑scale, cross‑product analysis of settlement and payment datasets, setting the analytical standards and frameworks used across the wider team
- Own the full business case lifecycle for major investment proposals — including sizing, prioritization, and presentation to senior management and governance forums — securing funding and organizational buy‑in
- Act as ultimate accountable owner for business requirements delivered to Technology, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and platform strategy
- Set the strategy for KPI visualization, dashboarding, and business intelligence capability, partnering with Technology and Process Engineering leadership to embed it at scale
- Champion and govern the adoption of AI, low‑code automation, and generative AI tooling across the wider Derivatives Settlements function, setting standards for responsible and effective use
- Build, lead, and develop a team of Product Development VPs and Analysts, providing mentorship, performance management, and career development
- Own senior stakeholder relationships across Operations, Technology, Product, Audit, Risk, and Regulatory functions, representing the transformation program at senior governance and steering committees
- Drive program‑level adherence to delivery standards, proactively escalating and managing risk, issues, and status to senior management and executive leadership
- Set the tone from the top on risk culture: appropriately assessing risk in business decisions, safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, and holding others accountable for maintaining these standards
What we’ll need from you
- Extensive, demonstrable leadership experience applying data analytics and process re‑engineering to drive large‑scale business transformation.
- Deep Operations and/or Technology experience within Global Markets, with exposure to Derivatives, Payments, or Settlements operations
- A strong track record leading (not just participating in) the delivery of complex, multi‑year strategic initiatives, including ownership of business cases and investment decisions
- Proven experience building and leading high‑performing teams
- Established senior relationships with Technology leadership and external technology vendors, with a track record of influencing platform strategy
- Practical, hands‑on experience with AI tools (e.g., CoPilot, Devin, Claude) and a track record of driving adoption at scale
- Strong working knowledge of low‑code automation and generative AI tooling, including governance considerations for enterprise deployment
- Exceptional stakeholder management and executive communication skills, with the gravitas to influence senior management and represent the function externally
- Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
- Master’s degree preferred
