Drive the future of Credit Trading. Citi is seeking a highly talented and experienced Credit Algo Trader to join our cutting-edge European Algo Credit Trading desk. This is your chance to manage a significant franchise book, contribute to the growth of a market-leading business, and shape the future of automated credit trading. What you will do:
- Algo Management & Enhancement: Develop expert-level understanding of the algorithmic trading framework's decision-making logic and parameter adjustments, proactively monitoring performance, identifying issues, and collaborating with the Quant team on enhancements and optimizations.
- Trade Facilitation & Client Engagement: Responsibly monitor algo activity; engaging with clients, sales, and traders to facilitate single bond trades, managing RFQs, executing trades, and ensuring smooth operations.
- Portfolio & ETF Trading: Facilitate portfolio trades, communicate portfolio axes effectively to clients, and manage ETF creation/redemption activities.
- Risk Management & Best Practices: Implement best-practice risk management techniques for responsible trading and franchise protection.
- Stakeholder Collaboration & System Development: Work with stakeholders to enhance operational efficiency, develop robust market-leading systems, and collaborate with control functions to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Culture, Leadership & Regulatory Compliance: Foster a positive, collaborative culture within the team and with sales partners.
What We Will Need From You:
- Proven experience in credit trading, including managing risk and generating P&L.
- Deep understanding of EUR/USD corporate/government bonds, automated market making, and related ETFs.
- Strong quantitative skills, including coding (Python, q/KDB, Scala preferred), mathematical modelling, and data analysis.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
- Comprehensive knowledge of trading systems, including Bloomberg, booking systems, trading protocols, and closing procedures.
- Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience.
- A Master’s degree in a relevant field is desirable.
