We are seeking an experienced, technical and entrepreneurial Director to join our UK Corporate FX Sales desk.

This role combines deep client coverage and advanced risk management expertise to help clients improve their risk management strategy.

The successful candidate will drive new business origination, foster strategic relationships and contribute to the team's growth and upskilling.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Engagement & Origination: Lead independent coverage of a portfolio of corporate clients, with a focus on originating alpha solutions.

Proactively identify and develop new business opportunities across the team.

Cultivate "trusted advisor" relationships with key corporate decision-makers and drive revenue outcomes.

  • Technical Partnership & Team

Upskilling: Act as a key technical partner to sales and structuring teams, providing product expertise and analytical support.

Actively contribute to enhancing sales capabilities through training and mentorship of junior team members.

  • Holistic

Solutioning: Apply a sound understanding of accounting principles, financial statements, regulatory frameworks, operational workflows and local market liquidity and regulations to structure complete client solutions.

  • Collaboration & Process

Enhancement: Work closely with FX Sales, Trading, and Banking partners to drive targeted origination and solution delivery.

Contribute to the continuous improvement of the ancillary functions to enhance client experience.

  • Stakeholder engagement: Engage strategically with key business partners.

Take a lead role in fostering an environment of collaboration, embedding a mutual accountability mindset to allocate resources to highest-value opportunities and differentiate coverage models.

  • Risk & Governance: Work in close partnership with control functions (Legal, Compliance, Market and Credit Risk, Finance) to ensure a robust governance and control infrastructure for all new and existing products, particularly in light of evolving regulatory landscapes and AI-driven risk analysis.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Extensive experience in FX Sales, Structuring, and Solutions within financial services with a track of driving commercialization for the business is essential for this role.
  • Demonstrated success in client-facing roles, with a strong ability to originate new business, cultivate relationships, and provide value-added services that lead to tangible revenue outcomes.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong drive for targeted business origination, with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of FX Option pricing, derivative mechanics, and complex financial instruments
  • Sound understanding of corporate accounting considerations in the context of risk management
  • Understanding of technology trends and e-FX related opportunities and solutions. Experience in navigating and enhancing FX platforms, internally and externally.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory capital concepts (Basel III, SACCR, RWA), credit risk mitigants, and legal documentation.
  • Proven ability to use AI and data to enhance client coverage quality and deliver accelerated revenue growth.
