Citi Commercial Bank UK’s Digital, Technology and Communication team covers UK‑headquartered Emerging High Growth and Mid‑Market companies with a global footprint. The Senior Relationship Manager is a strategic professional who closely follows the latest trends in the Technology and FinTech sector, adapts them for application in developing dialogue with prospects and covering clients, and has a deep understanding of the competitive landscape. The role requires deep knowledge of the debt capital markets, ability to position Citi competitively, and robust credit underwriting expertise. The Senior Relationship Manager builds consensus internally, manages risk‑management and credit‑committee discussions, and delivers the global Citi platform to clients, aiming to capture large wallet opportunities and exceed return hurdles. The role is largely focused on new business development, mentoring junior staff, and driving portfolio growth.
Responsibilities
- Self‑originate new, multi‑product, multi‑country clients for CCB UK and manage those relationships on an ongoing basis
- Actively call on clients to deepen relationships, anticipate future needs and pursue new aligned opportunities
- Provide thought leadership by understanding industry trends and delivering insights to clients
- Drive innovation through partnerships with product specialists and subject‑matter experts, structuring deals that balance risk and reward
- Lead complex deal‑team processes and oversee credit relationship, ensuring proper application of policies and institutional processes
- Own client‑level planning, budgets and revenue responsibilities, delivering holistic treasury and strategic agendas
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation, consultative and leadership skills
- Ensure regulatory compliance and manage risk with ethical judgment and transparency
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in Commercial or Corporate Banking
- Strong commercial credit knowledge and ability to learn new products rapidly
- Expert early‑warning detection and credit structuring skills
- Advanced knowledge of Citi’s credit process and appetite
- Ability to lead multi‑functional teams and provide exceptional client experience
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills
- Capacity to work under pressure while making sound decisions
- Highly focused, able to determine key priorities and communicate them clearly
- Accountable for significant direct business results
- Proactive in strengthening business relationships and delivering secure, seamless client experience
- Comfortable with new technology and digital roles in client experience

Education
- Bachelor’s or University degree (Master’s preferred)
