As part of the team, you’ll collaborate closely with high‑calibre engineers and deeply engaged business and product partners - working together to define and deliver the next generation of Equities technology at Citi.</p> <h2>The Team</h2> <p>The Equity Finance Technology team are seeking a development role for the User Interface, located in Belfast.

The role requires working with technologists across geographical locations and executing on the technical delivery.

The successful candidate must exhibit strong technical skills with a proven ability to deliver using an agile methodology.</p> <h2>Responsibilities</h2> <ul> <li>Provide technical direction for a team of developers located across locations</li> <li>Ability to forecast technical advances and innovation for the user interface</li> <li>Code review of development conducted by others</li> <li>Resolve variety of high impact problems/projects through in-depth evaluation of complex business processes, system processes, and industry standards</li> <li>Provide expertise in area and advanced knowledge of applications programming and ensure application design adheres to the overall architecture blueprint</li> <li>Utilise advanced knowledge of system flow and develop standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementation</li> <li>Develop comprehensive knowledge of how areas of business, such as architecture and infrastructure, integrate to accomplish business goals</li> <li>Provide in-depth analysis with interpretive thinking to define issues and develop innovative solutions</li> <li>Serve as adviser or coach to mid-level developers and analysts, allocating work as necessary</li> <li>Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgement regarding personal behaviour, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency</li> </ul> <h2>Qualifications</h2> <ul> <li>Proven of relevant experience in Apps Development or systems analysis role</li> <li>Extensive experience system analysis and in programming of software applications</li> <li>Experience in managing and implementing successful projects</li> <li>Subject Matter Expert (SME) in at least one area of Applications Development</li> <li>Ability to adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate</li> </ul> <h2>Key Skills And Experience Required</h2> <ul> <li>Extensive development experience, specifically with building User Interface's</li> <li>Advanced Technical skills in some of the following: Java, React, WPF, C#, Dot Net, Kafka, SQL, Git</li> <li>Experience in performing QA</li> <li>Proven ability to work in high pressure environment</li> <li>Flexibility to work with a global team, across geographies and time zones</li> <li>Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically</li> <li>Familiarity with agile methodologies.</li> <li>Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to manage stakeholder expectations</li> </ul> <h2>Any Beneficial / Nice to have skills and experience</h2> <ul> <li>Knowledge of Prime Services is a plus</li> <li>Degree educated in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field or experience operating in a similar role.</li> </ul> <h2>What We’ll Provide You</h2> <p>By joining Citi, you will not only be part of a business casual workplace with a hybrid working model (up to 2 days working at home per week), but also receive a competitive base salary (which is annually reviewed), and enjoy a whole host of additional benefits such as:</p> <ul> <li>27 days annual leave (plus bank holidays)</li> <li>A discretional annual performance related bonus</li> <li>Private Medical Care & Life Insurance</li> <li>Employee Assistance Program</li> <li>Pension Plan</li> <li>Paid Parental Leave</li> <li>Special discounts for employees, family, and friends</li> <li>Access to an array of learning and development resources</li> </ul> <p>Citi is an equal opportunity employer, and qualified candidates will receive consideration without regard to their race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, status as a protected veteran, or any other characteristic protected by law.
