Key Responsibilities

  • Global Oversight of Finance Desk Support function with Rates Technology – facing off to senior Business and Technology stakeholders
  • Provide user and batch support for trade booking application ‘Finance Workstation’ and ‘Positions’
  • Start of day checks, continuous monitoring of application and underlying infrastructure
  • Expected to raise problems to appropriate technology and business teams, while adhering to Service Level Agreements.
  • Develop and maintain technical support documentation
  • Act as a liaison between users/traders, interfacing internal technology groups and vendors
  • Participate in application releases, testing and deployment into production
  • Perform post release checkouts after application releases and infrastructure updates
  • Active involvement in and ownership of Support Project items, covering Stability, Efficiency and Effectiveness initiatives.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, great teammate.
  • Basic Business knowledge/understanding of financial markets and products.
  • IT/spreadsheet/analytical/modelling skills
  • UNIX (Solaris/Linux) knowledge and practical usage. (Able to navigate the system and know the core administration functions)
  • Oracle SQL knowledge and practical usage. (Able to create ad hoc SQL queries)
  • Strong analytical skills & attention to detail
  • Repo Trading Experience Desirable
  • Strong Leadership Qualities

Knowledge & Experience

  • Experience working in a front office support environment.
  • Business knowledge/understanding of financial markets and products, particularly Credit and Rates Derivatives Flow.
  • IT/spreadsheet/analytical/modelling skills
  • Good UNIX (Solaris/Linux) knowledge and practical usage. (Able to navigate the system and know the core administration functions)
  • Extensive Oracle SQL knowledge and practical usage. (Able to create ad hoc SQL queries)
  • Previous experience of electronic markets and straight through processing.
  • Strong analytical skills & attention to detail
  • Repo Trading Experience Desirable
