Citi Trends is looking for a dedicated Store Sales Associate to join our team at one of the largest chains in the value-priced urban apparel industry. We are growing, so this is a chance to lead the way.
Responsibilities
- Processing freight
- Assisting with price changes and markdowns
- Balancing register according to company policy
- Calling out prices for customers when ringing transactions
- Bags merchandise efficiently when completing customer transactions
- Handling all cash, checks and credit cards according to company policy
- Obtaining management approval when needed for returns and voids
- Maintaining and cleaning the store as assigned
- Providing proper customer service (greeting customers, adhering to fitting room policies, ringing customers in a timely manner, thanking customers, and inviting them to return)
- Following all safety procedures
- Maintaining a professional, neat appearance including wearing a name tag
- Assisting management in merchandising the sales floor according to stock levels
- Assisting management with tasks requested per company policy
- Explaining exchange/refund policies to customers after transactions
- Supporting Loss Prevention procedures, including preventing shoplifting and cash losses, and reporting incidents of theft or dishonesty
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages)
