Senior Consultant @ Citadel Source | On a mission to reset the standard within Accountancy and Finance RecruitmentCitadel Source is partnering a leading plc to support the search for their new Finance Bid Analyst on a permanent contract.
About the clientOur client is a leading UK plc with a strong presence across the country and a great reputation in their space. Thanks to ongoing growth and a busy pipeline of new opportunities, the business is looking to bring in a Finance Bid Analyst to join its established finance team. This new role will sit within a highâperforming bid team and play an important part in helping to shape successful, largeâscale bids and tenders.
The roleThe Finance Bid Analyst will be a finance specialist within the wider bid team, supporting major bids and tenders across the division. Working closely with Bid Finance Managers, you\âll help shape, maintain and oversee the financial bid models, making sure submissions are accurate, compliant and commercially sound. You\âll be involved throughout the bid lifecycle, often working on several bids at the same time. The role calls for someone who can collaborate and challenge stakeholders outside of finance where necessary, so suits someone who is confident having difficult conversations and scrutinising numbers effectively. This one is a great fit for someone with an analytical skillâset from an FP&A, Commercial Finance or Corporate Finance background who\âs keen to gain more commercial exposure.
As a Finance Bid Analyst, your role will include, but not be limited to
Supporting Bid Finance Managers in running financial models and conducting sensitivities for large franchise opportunities
Contributing to the preparation of internal governance documentation and financially related bid submission material
Leading smaller, nonâfranchise bids under the oversight of the Bid Finance Manager
Reviewing bid and project documentation to understand financial requirements and interpret the financial impact of nonâfinancial clauses
Maintaining and developing internal financial models, including embedding payment mechanism clauses
Liaising with teams such as Group Tax and Accounting to ensure the financial models meet requirements
Benchmarking financial and nonâfinancial data across relevant business units
Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance modelling capability and bid processes
About youWe\âre open to applicants who are CIMA, ACCA or ACA qualified, partâqualified and actively studying, or QBE. An FP&A, Commercial Finance or Corporate Finance background fits well with this role, given the modelling and analytical demands and though bidding experience is a bonus, it\âs not essential. It\âs of great importance that you feel confident in challenging senior leaders and you\âre able to communicate with clarity and credibility. Strong interpersonal, analytical and problemâsolving skills are essential, along with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a highâperforming team.
