Citadel Source is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Management Accountant to join our well-established client based in East Bristol.
About you
You will be a hands-on and driven individual, with a strong work ethic and someone who takes pride in achieving their own goals and team goals. You will be committed and enthusiastic, and be an excellent communicator who is able to work effectively as part of a team. You will be AAT qualified or a part-qualified CIMA/ACCA, with strong Excel skills. You will be collaborative and support the wider business on ongoing improvement projects. You will have previous experience in a similar role, particularly with month-end accounting and a strong understanding of core accounting principles.
The role
The Assistant Management Accountant will work closely with the Management Accountant who together will have significant responsibility to ensure that accurate and timely information is provided to the stakeholders. They will be required to support the delivery of monthly reporting requirements.
As an Assistant Management Accountant, your role will include, but not be limited to:
- Assist with the month-end close process
- Prepare and review trial balances
- Post journals accurately and in a timely manner
- Handle accruals and prepayments
- Support the wider finance team during month-end procedures
- Contribute to process improvements and financial accuracy
