We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst to join our team, working with clients in the UK. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, visualization, and programming, with a focus on financial and investment data.
General Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with our Advisory Team business partners to understand key business objectives and define analytical frameworks and approaches to support them.
- Build advanced scripts in SQL and Python by connecting to a series of databases in the lake.
- Build advanced dashboards in PowerBI and Tableau by connecting data from D365, Datalake and Excel files.
- Iterate on existing data assets and provide quick turnarounds to ad-hoc insight requests from key Advisory Team stakeholders.
- Deliver and manage the lifecycle of a data project by working closely with both technical and non-technical teams across organizations and regions.
- Provide solutions to automate manual data reporting across teams who may be leveraging 3rd party data in Excel and execute.
- Document end-to-end data reporting processes managed within Advisory Team.
Key Requirements:
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in a data analyst/science role within the investment and finance industry.
- Bachelor’s and/or Masters in a highly quantitative degree discipline (e.g. Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Computer Science or Economics) are highly desired.
- Advanced SQL, Python and Excel (VBA Macros is desirable).
- Strong proficiency in building dashboards in both PowerBI and Tableau.
- Experience in using AWS Athena and HIVE/Presto.
- Experience working within an agile framework and comfortable using project management tooling like JIRA.
- Proven experience presenting complex data findings and concepts to business stakeholders of varying levels of data literacy.
- Experience using statistical techniques and modelling is highly desirable.
- Previous exposure to working with CRM Databases, specifically D365 is highly desirable.
