The Marketing Development Representative (MDR) is responsible for managing time-sensitive, marketing-driven interactions to generate new business opportunities. This role involves handling Automated Qualified Leads (AQLs) from the Marketing team, such as inbound demo requests and profiled form submissions. The MDR plays a crucial role in qualifying leads, converting them into pipeline opportunities, and contributing to overall revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities- Lead Qualification & Conversion
- Identify and qualify leads based on Cision’s Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) to build a strong pipeline.
- Maintain an optimal conversion rate for Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs) to maximize efficiency.
- Conduct outreach via calls and emails to engage with MQLs, including inbound demo requests and profiled form submissions.
- Nurture leads from conferences, webinars, and Cision-hosted events to drive engagement.
- Collaboration & Process Management
- Work closely with Sales, Marketing, and Business Development teams to ensure smooth lead handoff and follow-up.
- Maintain accurate lead tracking and updates in Salesforce to monitor progress and results.
- Develop a strong understanding of Cision’s products, services, and customer use cases to effectively communicate value to potential clients.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- At least 2 years of experience in lead qualification and conversion.
- Proven ability to convert marketing-generated leads into opportunities.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
