The role

As an Insights Consultant, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of client accounts, building strong relationships, and ensuring customers receive maximum value from their insights programme. Acting as the main point of contact, you will work closely with clients to understand their business objectives, provide strategic guidance, resolve challenges, and identify opportunities to strengthen the partnership. You will collaborate with our Rapid Intelligence and Media Intelligence teams to ensure deliverables are accurate, insightful, and aligned with client expectations. By coordinating internal stakeholders and maintaining high editorial and service standards, you will play a key role in delivering an excellent customer experience. You will also develop a strong understanding of each client's evolving needs, proactively identifying risks and growth opportunities, and sharing these insights with internal stakeholders to support client retention, renewals, and upsell opportunities.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with clients, acting as a strategic partner and helping them achieve their business goals through Cision Insights solutions.
  • Manage regular communication with client teams via email, phone, and occasional in-person meetings to understand their needs, align on service expectations, and ensure a high-quality customer experience.
  • Act as the link between clients and internal teams, identifying and resolving issues quickly, whether related to service delivery, editorial quality, or contractual requirements.
  • Collaborate with teams across Cision to ensure clients receive a seamless experience across all areas of the business.
  • Support client renewals by managing account information, tracking service scope, and contributing to proposals, statements of work (SOWs), and contract documentation.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen client relationships, support retention, and contribute to account growth through renewals and upsell opportunities.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to proactively identify client risks, opportunities, and actions required to support long-term success.
  • Develop a strong understanding of Cision Insights delivery processes and support client projects through research, writing, editing, and quality checks where required.
  • Work collaboratively with delivery teams to ensure insights and outputs meet client expectations and maintain high editorial standards.
  • Support ad-hoc client requests and help resolve delivery challenges when needed.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in PR, communications, journalism, English, marketing, or a related field is desirable.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create clear, accurate, and engaging content.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Strong presentation and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and senior stakeholders.
  • Experience building relationships, influencing stakeholders, and resolving client challenges in a customer-facing environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and develop practical solutions.
  • A proactive, self-motivated approach with the ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and know when to seek support.
