As an Account Director – Retention, you will be responsible for proactively managing and growing a customer portfolio valued at approximately £1.5 million. This portfolio covers multiple sectors, including Government and the broader Public Sector, within your designated region. Your core focus will be to maximize Gross Retention Rate (GRR) and Net Revenue Retention (NRR) by fostering strong client relationships and effectively leveraging auto-renewal contracts and standard annual price increases. Additionally, you will identify and close upsell opportunities while managing your territory in line with defined revenue and performance targets, including both retention and growth metrics.
The role is defined but not limited to the following duties and responsibilities:
- Achieving or exceeding annual targets across Media Analysis, Media Monitoring, Media Database and Social Media.
- Compiling and implementing a sales plan for the territory.
- Creating and maintaining a highly focused culture with an emphasis on proactive contact.
- Compiling supplementary sales plans and projects as appropriate throughout the year.
- Driving revenue from existing clients, across Cision portfolio of PR products and services.
- Managing the effective renewal process for subscriptions, identifying and maximising up-sell and cross-sell opportunities.
- Predicting future downturns in revenue and ensuring plans are in place to address shortfall.
- Formulating and implementing account management strategies that provide an appropriate level of focus on clients relative to requirements, budget, and future revenue potential.
- Preparing and writing comprehensive and compliant tender responses tailored to client requirements, ensuring alignment with objectives and value propositions.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather information, ensuring accurate and compelling content for tender submissions.
- Delivering professional presentations to clients and stakeholders, effectively communicating key messages and value propositions.
- Managing multiple tender and presentation deadlines, maintaining high quality standards and attention to detail.
