As a Business Development Manager, you will proactively contact, pitch, and sell Cision's services to PR and comms professionals within the UK mid-market segment. This is primarily a telephone-based sales role, though some face-to-face meetings will be expected. You will collaborate with a dedicated team and be responsible for driving new business opportunities for Cision.
What We're Looking For:
We're seeking a full 360 experienced sales professional who can drive growth in our mid-market team by selling a suite of services to brand-new prospects in the PR and Comms space. This person should be passionate about sales and eager to join an already successful sales team selling a market-leading solution.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Position Cision’s value proposition through inbound and outbound sales methods to mid-market organizations.
- Educate and guide prospects through the buyer’s journey, helping them understand the value of Cision for their business.
- Proactively self-source leads through cold calling, outreach, and LinkedIn.
- Manage a pipeline of inbound and self-sourced leads, building relationships with potential buyers.
- Achieve daily activity KPIs based on outbound sales activities.
- Conduct effective online demonstrations of Cision’s services through virtual meetings, with occasional face-to-face meetings.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of business (5x monthly target).
- Ensure smooth onboarding for new customers by working closely with the Mid-Market Customer Service Executives.
- Accurately input and maintain activity information in Salesforce and Kluster.
- Report on sales activity and results on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
