The Cayman Registry, a division of Cayman Maritime, was established in 1903 and currently supports a diverse range of vessel types, from commercial ships to private pleasure yachts. With headquarters in the Cayman Islands and a European Regional Office in Southampton, UK, the Registry also maintains a global presence in the USA, UK, Italy, France, Netherlands, Monaco, Greece, Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, and Japan.

The Maritime Authority of the Cayman Islands (MACI) is currently seeking applications for suitably qualified companies/individuals to undertake services as an Independent Contractor, Business Development. Ideally this position would suit those companies/individuals who reside in Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands but are prepared to travel to other global locations as necessary.

Reporting directly to the Senior Manager, Business Development and Deputy Global Director of the Commercial Services Division, the post holder will be responsible for:

  • Business Development strategy and implementation
  • Event Coordination & Management (Business Development)
  • Business Development Coordination & Administrative Support
  • Client Relationships
  • Corporate Communications
  • Marketing
  • Reporting & Record Keeping
  • Monitoring & Data Entry of Client Portal/Relationships

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Maritime Studies / Maritime Management, or Business Administration / Management, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of generating new business, meeting revenue targets, managing client portfolios, and building long-term relationships.
  • Experience in market research and identifying growth opportunities.
  • Experience in preparing proposals, tenders, and presentations.
  • Exposure to international markets and clients.
