You will join Cisco Legal’s Regulatory Affairs Trade Legal & Compliance team. The Regulatory Affairs team is comprised of lawyers, operational specialists, program managers, engineers, and subject matter experts focused on topics including data and privacy, global trade and telecom, ESG, and cyber and national security regulations. You will partner with your colleagues in Legal and numerous other functions across the company to have an immediate impact with your analytic rigor, business judgment, and ability to get things done.
You will play a vital role in supporting Cisco’s global supply chain operations by ensuring compliance with international trade regulations, laws, and customs procedures and providing analytical insights for the EMEA region. In this position, you will apply your strong analytical, organizational skills as well as AI solutions to manage a wide range of trade compliance activities, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and regulatory alignment across our business. You will collaborate closely with Cisco’s Trade Legal and Compliance (TLC) team and cross-functional partners, making a significant contribution to our global compliance program.
Preferred Qualifications & What You’ll Do
- Facilitate and document formal collaborations with internal teams to support defined business operations.
- Prepare and submit Quarterly Brokerage Review (QBR) documentation by established deadlines, ensuring compliance with Cisco standards and export regulations, and implement AI-driven process optimizations as appropriate.
- Lead all required Trusted Trader Program certification requirements for the EMEA region within established deadlines, ensuring all submissions and renewals are properly maintained.
- Analyze broker-submitted data and government export reports; identify and resolve discrepancies ensuring compliance in global export filings.
- Organize and update export records, maintain data accuracy as verified by trade audits, ensure no compliance gaps during audits, and implement documented process improvements in response to regulatory updates.
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of trade compliance experience with in-depth knowledge of export controls, global trade regulations, sanctions, and end-to-end supply chain compliance.
- Demonstrates continuous learning and adaptability by adopting new AI tools and technologies to enhance trade compliance processes and overall efficiency.
- Proven analytical skills and keen attention to detail in reviewing complex export entries, trade documentation, and regulatory filings to ensure full compliance.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and communication abilities to manage multiple trade compliance initiatives and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
