Overview
In this role you help our most critical customers maximize the Splunk security platform, guiding use case development, configuration, and optimization. You act as a trusted security advisor, translating customer needs into best practices and collaborating with product teams to improve offerings. You drive customer health and satisfaction while uncovering expansion opportunities. You work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure resilient deployments and ongoing success in enterprise security and user behavior analytics.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical guidance on use case development, configuration, and optimization for Enterprise Security (ES) and Splunk UBA
- Resolve complex customer challenges to minimize downtime and boost system resilience
- Accelerate customer adoption of the Splunk security platform using security domain expertise
- Collaborate with Field Sales, Sales Engineering, and Customer Support to ensure customer success
- Coordinate with the broader Splunk Account Team to align strategic plans
- Build scalable processes, create collateral, and implement tools to improve operational efficiency
- Drive high CSAT by capturing and sharing compelling customer success stories
- Identify and champion product expansion opportunities within existing accounts
- Participate in team development initiatives, mentoring, and internal trainings
Key requirements
- 5+ years IT experience, including 3+ years security-focused experience
- Experience with SIEM or security log management systems (e.g., Splunk, ArcSight, LogRhythm, ELK, Q-Radar, Rapid7, Chronicle, Sentinel)
- Active Splunk certification with hands-on experience managing ES, Splunk SOAR (Phantom), or Splunk UBA
- At least one industry security certification (GIAC, CISSP, OSCP, or equivalent)
- Experience Linux/Unix and Windows environments, with CLI and scripting in Bash or Python
