Overview
As a Solutions Engineer, you will apply broadcast and media expertise to show how IP, networking and emerging technologies transform production and delivery environments. You’ll span live broadcast, studios, post, media cloud and hybrid setups, guiding the move from SDI to IP and modern architectures. You’ll lead engagements from discovery to architecture and POCs, articulating business impact. This role offers exposure to major events and Cisco’s broad technology portfolio in a dynamic media landscape.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical engagements from discovery through architecture, workshops and proofs of concept
- Advise on IP-based media transitions and architectures for production and delivery
- Collaborate with Account Executives to develop customer strategies and relationships
- Represent Cisco at industry events and engage with engineering, standards bodies and partners
Key requirements
- 5+ years in Broadcast, Media & Entertainment, Live Production, Media Systems or related field
- Strong understanding of broadcast/workflow concepts and modern IP-based media environments
- Experience with SDI-to-IP transitions and IP-based technologies
- Knowledge of SMPTE ST 2110, PTP/ST 2059, NMOS, multicast, QoS, or IP media transport
- Experience designing and implementing complex, reliable, real-time environments
- Ability to communicate complex technology clearly to engineers and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience working with customers, partners or system integrators
- Cisco networking experience is beneficial but not required
