As a Customer Project Manager, you lead complex Splunk-focused engagements from discovery through delivery, partnering with customers and partners to ensure successful outcomes. You’ll manage plans, budgets, and risk, while coordinating cross-functional teams to align with statements of work. You’ll drive pre-sales alignment and RFP/SOW processes, and advocate for customers to resolve issues rapidly. This role offers impact across enterprise-scale deployments within a collaborative Cisco environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead complex projects from kickoff to closeout, ensuring timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Develop and manage project plans with P&L, milestones, and resource allocation aligned to SOWs.
- Produce and maintain detailed project reporting (burn rate, progress, risks, dependencies) for customer stakeholders.
- Assess customer requirements, including security and onboarding needs, and translate into actionable deliverables.
- Identify opportunities to expand Splunk products/services to meet additional customer needs.
- Coordinate with Sales and Sales Engineering to ensure timely PS engagement and technical scoping.
- Use blueprints, templates, and service offerings to build confidence in outcomes and define expected results.
- Oversee RFP/SOW processes in collaboration with sales and PS teams.
- Maintain accurate forecasting for bookings and revenue and ensure proper documentation.
Key requirements
- Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of related experience, or Master's with 6+ years, or PhD with 3+ years, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of project/program management delivering enterprise software or professional services to external customers.
- Demonstrated experience with Agile (Scrum/Kanban) and/or Waterfall.
- Strong ability to manage stakeholders and lead customer-facing engagements.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Customer advocacy and relationship-building cross-functional collaboration and teamwork.
- Project management (P&L, planning, and governance).
- RFP/SOW management.
- Agile and Waterfall project methodologies.
