Reporting to the DSE Global VP, this role leads and manages remote teams to structure and support critical sales deals that increase sales revenue and offer mutual benefit to the customer with a sensitivity to time. You will lead all day-to-day functions of the Deal Management remote team. A strong leader, this person will drive operational excellence through a combination of mentoring and team management, interaction with internal partners, customers and alignment with Splunk sales policies.

Roles and responsibilities

  • Actively participate in GVP/GM Forecast calls and guide sales leadership on the best deal structures based on your experience. Proactively engage with sales leadership on opportunities to increase revenue through inventive deal structures.

  • Act as an authority on Splunk Sales Policies such as Early Renewals, Order Docs, Channel Considerations, Licensing Models, Programs, Pricing, Conversion Programs (On premise to Cloud) as outlined on DSE Landing Page

  • Proactively Identify new processes and/or solutions to resolve issues that arise based on engagement with sales teams. Collaborate with key internal partners to deliver and train new sales on new programs and ensure adoption.

  • Support Executive teams in month end war rooms addressing challenges to deal structures, deal closing and booking opportunities.

  • Review Order Documents from Deal Management team for completeness and accuracy while coordinating with Legal and Revenue Recognition teams, to draft critical contract T&Cs

Qualifications

  • 5-10 years of leadership/management; competent in goal setting, career planning, and daily management responsibilities of team.

  • Thrives in finding business solutions to complex challenges. You have demonstrated ability of data management, data quality audit, documentation and visual presentations of results in a fast-growing software enterprise company.

  • You are extremely articulate with demonstrated ability to interface, influence, and work with a diverse group of individuals at all levels of the organization.

  • Experience with Salesforce.com reporting and administration.

  • Managed results driven sales programs and possess strong management skills and problem solving skills

  • Superb Communication Skills, Strong Problem-Solving Skills, Detailed Oriented, & strong MS Office Skills

  • Self-motivated, driven individual who thrives in a fast paced environment

  • Exceptional management, interpersonal, written and presentation skills

  • Able to work independently and remotely from other members of your team and corporate
