We are currently seeking enthusiastic Security Officers for Leyton College.
This is a busy, vibrant educational environment where you'll play a key role in maintaining a safe, welcoming atmosphere for students, staff, and visitors.
In this role, you will deliver high-quality guarding services and provide excellent customer service to both our customers and service users.

- SIA Door Supervisor Licence required
- Security and customer service experience is required
- Must be flexible and be able to work; days, nights, weekends and have the flexibility to change shifts due to operational needs
- Must have good command of English language
- Good levels of customer service, communication both written & verbal at all times
- Flexible in the approach to daily duties and additional events when held on site.
- Maintains working knowledge of the locations & security & safety for assigned areas
- Flexible in the approach to daily duties
- First Aid qualification & a CCTV SIA Licence is a bonus
- Must have five years of checkable work history
- Job Responsibilities
- Able to demonstrate and deliver high quality guarding and customer service to both our clients and service users.
- Able to work in a team as well as on your own and have the ability to be pro-active and think on your feet use initiative
- Be calm under pressure and confident in dealing with confrontational situations in a calm and professional manner
- Physically fit to complete patrols internally and externally and able to stand/walk during shift
- Confident in writing incident and shift reports

- To always portray a friendly, professional and courteous demeanour, using open and appropriate body language.
- To ensure that all visitors and staff are dealt with efficiently, providing an exceptional customer service at all times ensuring that their expectations are met, if not exceeded.
- The role includes you to conduct opening & closing procedures of a building, patrolling, reception duties, access control, answering incoming telephone calls, Conducting emergency procedures.
You will be part of a team seeing this site through from refurbishment to business as usual and must be comfortable working on a construction site moving into an office environment.
- Thorough campus patrols, personnel and bag searches
- Responding and dealing with incidents, making detail log entries, completing incident report, liaising with emergency services as and when required
- This role includes access control, checking ID cards, staff, student & visitor liaison, bag searches, incident reports, log entries, dealing with hostile, aggressive and vulnerable persons (some with learning difficulties).
