As Security Systems Manager, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end lifecycle of electronic security systems across your portfolio, including planned preventative maintenance, installation projects, system upgrades and continuous improvement, with a strong emphasis on customer experience, operational delivery, commercial performance and enterprise-level security solutions. This role is hybrid, with visits to client sites across England and meetings at CIS Head Office or London offices as needed. The roles primary function is to manage preventative maintenance and project delivery through on-site surveys, client engagement, auditing service partners, and attending SLA and operational review meetings. You will act as a key customer interface, ensuring high standards of service delivery for high-profile customers, while identifying opportunities to improve system resilience, functionality, compliance and operational efficiency. This role is well suited to an experienced systems manager or operational lead looking to join an established team. Information Position: Security Systems Manager Location: London Salary: Β£55,000 - Β£60,000 per annum Hours: 40 hours per week Job Role Manage customer expectations and develop long-term, trusted relationships with a strong customer-first mindset. Act as the primary operational point of contact for customers, ensuring service excellence and contractual compliance. Act as a trusted security systems advisor to customers, identifying opportunities for system improvements, upgrades, integration and additional services. Manage and develop supply chain and service partner relationships, ensuring consistent quality and performance. Audit and performance-manage service partners against technical, commercial, H&S and customer service requirements, challenging poor performance where necessary. Conduct on-site surveys and system reviews of enterprise level system designs. Manage project and commercial performance, including supplier costs, variations, margins and opportunities for additional works. Demonstrate strong operational experience by planning, coordinating, and overseeing maintenance and installation activities across multiple sites. Manage projects from initial survey and scope development through quotation, procurement, installation, commissioning and final handover. Identify physical and technical resources required for successful project delivery. Ensure service partners are fully briefed with all required documentation, drawings, site plans, and operational considerations, including health & safety requirements. Ensure all documentation is completed to a high standard, including risk assessments, method statements, O&M manuals, and compliance records. Manage maintenance and project teams to ensure delivery within agreed SLAs, timeframes, and budgets. Work effectively with internal and external stakeholders, communicating clearly across multiple platforms and managing timelines proactively. Monitor and report against operational KPIs, SLAs, customer satisfaction, project performance and commercial targets, implementing corrective action where required. Review system performance, asset condition and maintenance trends to identify obsolescence, recurring faults, lifecycle requirements and future upgrade opportunities. Monitor emerging security technologies and identify opportunities to introduce new innovations. Support the CIS Bids Team with tender responses, technical input, and enterprise-level solution design. Job Requirements Proven experience with Access Control, CCTV, and Intruder Systems (essential). Demonstrable experience working in customer-facing operational roles, ideally supporting high-profile or enterprise customers. Strong knowledge of enterprise-level electronic security systems, including system integration, scalability, and compliance requirements within systems such as C-CURE, Gallagher, LenelS2, Genetec, Avigilon. Ability to identify on-site security risks and design industry-compliant solutions that meet customer and operational needs. Proven operational experience managing live environments Experience of managing or coordinating service partners, engineers and project teams. Clear criminal record and ability to pass full DBS/CRB screening and industry vetting. Willingness to travel as required across client sites. Professional, personable communicator able to engage effectively at all levels, including senior customer stakeholders. Highly organised, adaptable, and able to work under pressure while maintaining high service standards. Self-motivated, technically competent, and logical in problem-solving, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
