CIS Security has an exciting opportunity for a Security Response Officer to act as a professional ambassador for the company at the West Country's premier shopping destination. The site features over 70 leading high street brands and a multi-storey car park with more than 1,200 spaces. It is centrally located, approximately a 10-minute walk from Plymouth train station, with The Barcode leisure complex situated adjacent, offering a cinema, restaurants, bars, and indoor entertainment venues. The successful candidate will be expected to consistently deliver high standards of security, professionalism, and customer service to clients, visitors, and all site users.
Position: Security Patrol Officer
Location: Plymouth (PL1)
Pay Rate: £13.85 per hour
Hours: Average 42 hours per week
Shifts: 4 On 4 Off - Days - 0700 to 1900
Job Requirements:
- SIA Licence required
- Security and customer service experience is required
- Must be flexible and be able to work; days, nights, weekends and have the flexibility to change shifts due to operational needs
- Must have good command of English language
- Good levels of customer service, communication both written & verbal at all times
- Flexible in the approach to daily duties and additional events when held on site
- Maintains working knowledge of security & safety for assigned areas
- First Aid qualification & a CCTV SIA Licence is a bonus
- To have a smart appearance befitting the company
- Be confident you can undertake 100% of all specific duties
- Be able to provide all the documentation and vetting information requested
Job Responsibilities:
- Able to demonstrate and deliver high quality guarding and customer service to both our customers and service users
- Able to work in a team as well as on your own and have the ability to be pro-active and think on your feet use initiative
- Be calm under pressure and confident in dealing with confrontational situations in a calm and professional manner
- Physically fit to complete patrols internally and externally and able to stand/walk during shift
- Confident in writing incident and shift reports
- To always portray a friendly, professional and courteous demeanour, using open and appropriate body language
- To ensure that all visitors and staff are dealt with efficiently, providing an exceptional customer service and ensuring that their expectations are met, if not exceeded
- Have the IT skills and the ability to understand and use varied Access Control and CCTV systems and platforms / integrated systems
- Have the ability to write emails and reply to emails in the correct manner
- Have the ability to exercise command and control and be an effective communicator to all peer groups and management levels
- Able to understand the Escalation Process, - Escalate and Disseminate information in a timely manner to the correct personnel in the event or during an emergency or Incident on site
- The role includes you to conduct opening & closing procedures of a building, patrolling and conducting emergency procedures
