CIS Security has an exciting opportunity available for a Corporate Security Officer who will ensure the safety and security of all occupants, visitors, and assets through effective access control, patrolling, incident response, and customer service.

Position Details

  • Location: City of London (EC3M)
  • Pay Rate: £15.05 per hour
  • Hours: Average 42 hours per week
  • Shifts: Days & Nights - Various Shifts

Job Requirements

  • SIA Door Supervisor Licence required.
  • Corporate security experience for at least 1 year.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as customer service skills.
  • Physically fit to complete patrols internally and externally and able to stand/walk for extended periods of time during shift.
  • A friendly, professional, courteous demeanour, and outgoing character.
  • To always take pride in your appearance, ensuring immaculate presentation.
  • Ability to work in a team as well as on your own and have the ability to be pro‐active and think on your feet use initiative.
  • Strong situational awareness and awareness of Hostile Reconnaissance.
  • Understanding of Hostile Reconnaissance behaviours.
  • Good incident reporting and communication skills.
  • First Aid qualification & a CCTV SIA Licence are desirable.
  • Be confident you can undertake 100% of all specific duties.
  • Be able to provide all the documentation and vetting information requested.

Job Responsibilities

  • Able to demonstrate and deliver high quality guarding and customer service to both our customers and service users.
  • Be calm under pressure and confident in dealing with confrontational situations - Remain alert to protestor action and escalated activity immediately.
  • Ensure that all visitors and staff are dealt with efficiently, always providing an exceptional customer service ensuring that their expectations are met, if not exceeded.
  • Report suspicious items or activity immediately.
  • Collaborate with reception, building management and all service partners.
  • Perform routine and random patrols, monitor access control system, respond to alarms and incidents and monitor visitor access and verify credentials.
  • Work closely with the wider security team to support the overall security strategy.
  • Flexible in the approach to daily duties and additional events when held on site.
