A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Corporate Senior Security Officer who will work in the West Sussex area. They will need to demonstrate and deliver high quality guarding and customer service to both our customers and service users. We are seeking highly experienced, customer-focused individuals who will be able to provide a safe environment for clientele and have high levels of diligence.
Position: Corporate Senior Security Officer
Location: Horsham, West Sussex
Pay: £14.73 per hour
Hours: Average of 42 hours per week
Shifts: 4 on 4 off - Days & Nights
Job Requirements:
- SIA Licence - DS & CCTV required
- 2 years Team Leader/Supervisor/Senior Officer experience in the corporate environment
- Must be flexible and able to change due to operational needs
- Experience in using electronic security and safety systems e.g. Access control, fire alarm, radio communications and incident reporting
- Excellent communication both written & verbal
- Knowledge of the Timegate system and staff scheduling, or a willingness to learn
- To provide excellent levels of customer service always
- First Aid qualification preferred
- Knowledge of C-Cure system preferred
- Driving Licence required
The role includes conducting opening & closing procedures of a building, patrolling, reception duties, access control, answering incoming telephone calls, and conducting emergency procedures. You will be part of a team seeing this site through from refurbishment to business as usual and must be comfortable working on a construction site moving into an office environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Experience in managing staff performance effectively
- Ability to make informed decisions under pressure
- Ability to report to the Site Manager and the customer regarding daily occurrences and relevant incidents
- Experience of detailed security reporting procedures - incident reporting
- To diffuse difficult situations
- Liaising with external authorities and services as required
- Ensuring that all written reports are completed correctly, submitted promptly and acted upon where appropriate and carrying out initial investigations as required
- Responsible for all staff under their direct supervision ensuring that all staff are in wearing correct uniform and appropriate personal protective equipment and are regularly briefed
- Provide instruction to visitors, contractors and all other staff in a courteous manner as required
- Respond accordingly to emergencies and incidents including fire and intruder alarms, assisting in the evacuation of the buildings where necessary
- Ensure that comprehensive handover procedures take place at the shift change and that all keys, equipment and documentation are accounted for.
- To carry out any other reasonable duties required by the customer and CIS Security Ltd.
