CCTV Control Room Operator - Luxury Environment

CIS Security have an exciting opportunity for a Security Control Room Operator who will ensure the smooth and secure operation of all control room functions within a prestigious residential estate. Monitoring CCTV, access control, fire and life safety systems, and building management alerts across the residential, hotel, retail, and leisure estate. This role requires a detail-oriented professional experienced with exceptional situational awareness, calm decision-making under pressure, and a service-led approach consistent with a Grade II* listed super-prime residential development.

This site is a landmark Grade II* listed mixed-use development in the heart of Bayswater, comprising luxury residential apartments, Six Senses London hotel, premium retail, Everyman Cinema, Third Space gym, and a 128-space basement car park. The estate is home to ultra-high-net-worth residents and international guests who expect an exceptional, discreet, and service-led security presence at all times.

• Location: London (W2)
• Salary: £17.55 per hour
• Hours: Average 42 hours per week
• Shifts: 4 On 4 Off – Days & Nights

Job Requirements:

• SIA CCTV & Door Supervisor or Security Guarding License required.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in a control room environment within super-prime residential developments, luxury hospitality, or high-profile mixed-use environments.
• Demonstrable experience operating integrated security platforms (CCTV, access control, intruder detection, fire panels)
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills – all logs, reports, and correspondence must reflect a premium standard
• Proven ability to remain calm and decisive during high-pressure or emergency situations
• Strong IT literacy, including proficiency with security management software and Microsoft Office
• Strong working knowledge of security systems including CCTV, access control, and fire panels
• Impeccable personal presentation and professional bearing
• Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness for us to obtain)
• Flexible in the approach to daily duties and additional events when held on site.
• Excellent customer service skills and an understanding of service expectations in a luxury residential setting.
• Be confident you can undertake 100% of all specific duties.
• Be able to provide all the documentation and vetting information?requested.

Job Responsibilities:

• CCTV and Security System Management: Monitor and operate the Genetec CCTV platform, ensuring real-time surveillance and incident support.
• Incident Response: Support and lead incident response in the absence of the Duty Security Manager, acting quickly and professionally in emergency situations.
• Monitor and operate all CCTV, access control, intruder alarm, and fire detection systems across the estate, including residential cores, basement car parks, retail areas, and external perimeters
• Act as first point of contact for all security, fire, and emergency incidents, following established protocols and escalation procedures
• Log all incidents, visitor movements, contractor access, and system alerts accurately and in real time using the estate's incident management system
• Coordinate with on-site security officers, concierge, facilities, and Six Senses London hotel teams to ensure seamless estate-wide coverage
• Manage access control permissions for residents, staff, contractors, and deliveries in line with estate protocols
• Monitor building management system (BMS) alerts and escalate facilities-related issues to the appropriate teams
• Support the logistics and delivery management process by coordinating vehicle access to the basement loading bay and car parks
• Always maintain radio communications discipline and professionalism
• Produce shift handover reports and end-of-shift summaries to a consistently high standard
• Support emergency evacuation procedures and liaise with emergency services as required
