CIS Security have an exciting opportunity available for a Security Officer based in Bedford in a warehouse and distribution setting. The Security Officer will be an ambassador for CIS Security, delivering high quality guarding and customer service to both our customers and service users.
Position: Security Officer | Location: Bedford | Pay Rate: £13.45 per hour | Hours: Average 42 per week | Shifts: Days & Nights - 4 on 4 off
Responsibilities:
- Able to demonstrate and deliver high quality guarding and customer service to both our clients and service users.
- Work in a team as well as on your own; be proactive, think on your feet, and use initiative.
- Maintain composure under pressure and handle confrontational situations in a calm and professional manner.
- Be physically fit to complete patrols internally and externally and able to stand/walk during shift.
- Confident in writing incident and shift reports.
- Always portray a friendly, professional and courteous demeanor with open and appropriate body language.
- Ensure that all visitors and staff are dealt with efficiently, providing exceptional customer service and meeting or exceeding expectations.
- Conduct opening and closing procedures of a building, patrolling, reception duties, access control, and answering incoming telephone calls.
- Conducting emergency procedures.
- Be comfortable working on a construction site moving into an office environment; part of a team overseeing refurbishment to business as usual.
Requirements / Qualifications:
- SIA Licence required
- Security experience of a minimum of 1 year
- Good command of English; strong written and verbal communication
- Good levels of customer service and flexibility to work days, nights, weekends, and shift changes due to operational needs
- Flexible in approach to daily duties and additional events on site
- Maintains working knowledge of locations, security and safety for assigned areas
- First Aid qualification is a bonus
- CCTV SIA Licence is a bonus
- Smart appearance befitting the company
- Ability to provide all necessary documentation and vetting information
