For one of our clients, we are looking for a Senior Avionics Software & Verification Engineer to support the development, integration, verification, and certification of safety-critical airborne systems within a major aerospace and defence programme. This opportunity is onsite in Lancashire (flexible hybrid is fine). It can be open to freelancers and permanent employees.

Key skills:

  • Embedded Systems Engineering experience
  • Practical experience working within DO-178C or DO-178B development and verification environments
  • Background in Requirements engineering, Software verification and validation, Requirements-based testing
  • Integration testing
  • Experience with avionics communication protocols, including ARINC 429
  • Knowledge of safety-critical HMI, alert management, and operator interaction systems
  • Programming experience in C++, Python, or embedded software environment
