You will be required to prioritise your workload, and work closely with the Leadership Team, Project Managers and Engineers, to ensure the successful delivery of projects to the highest standards, on time, within budget, and adhering to best practices. No two days are the same at CirrusHQ, with a wide variety of projects from the Public Sector, Education and Private Sector partners. These projects can include:

  • Virtualising a university museum collection;
  • Collecting data from the stratosphere to measure global climate change.

You will be responsible for end-to-end project delivery from the very first call with the customer to introduce, scope and estimate a project, to design and documentation to the final project sign-off. You will support a team of Cloud Engineers to deliver the project, providing guidance and expertise to ensure the project is delivered whilst growing the knowledge and skills of the team. At CirrusHQ best practice is the root of our architectural designs with the Well‑Architected Framework built in to ensure a customers’ environment is operationally excellent, secure, reliable, performant and optimised.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead on customer scoping and design calls to gather requirements, build a project scope and time to deliver an estimate for the project.
  • Formulate a customer's problem into an architectural solution which will deliver value to the customer.
  • Build positive customer relationships.
  • Work closely with the project team to deliver the project to a high standard, to the project scope within the project time and budget constraints.
  • Either lead the project delivery by completing the work yourself or oversee our Cloud Engineers to deliver professional services projects.
  • Work closely with the delivery team to provide guidance, knowledge and grow their skillset to meet project deadlines.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Technical Operations to drive improvements in processes, procedures and automation to speed up project delivery.
  • Act as the senior point of escalation for technical issues.
  • Involvement in maintaining our high level standard of our NPS Score, AWS relationship and driving business growth with the delivery of Service Delivery Programs.
  • Attendance at client meetings and company events.
  • Participation in an out of hours on-call escalation rota.

Experience (Essential):

  • AWS Solution Architecture Certification at Professional Level.
  • Experience in writing Statements of Work with precise and detailed information, including high‑level architectural designs.

  • Experience in quoting the time to delivery based on multiple skill sets within the team.
