We’re seeking a dynamic Wind Farm Technician to be part of our pioneering team in the thriving wind energy sector. If you are a proactive problem solver with a passion for renewable energy, then we want you to be a part of our success story.
You will be responsible for:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on wind turbines to ensure optimal performance and minimise downtime.
- Inspect turbine components, including blades, nacelles, and towers, for any signs of damage or wear.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using schematics and diagnostic equipment.
- Conduct root cause analysis to identify the underlying cause of equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with a team of technicians to complete scheduled maintenance tasks and respond to unscheduled repairs.
- Assist in the installation and commissioning of new wind turbines.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work performed, parts used, and equipment condition.
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude for working with complex machinery.
- Minimum of 2 years experience on wind turbines in a technician capacity.
- Experience with Vestas, Siemens or Nordex Turbines is essential.
- Experience in building or repairing mechanical or electrical systems is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of electrical engineering principles and ability to read electrical schematics.
- Familiarity with logic controllers used in wind turbine operations.
- Ability to perform root cause analysis to identify equipment failures and implement effective solutions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Experience of being an Authorised Technician under the Wind Turbine Safety Rules.
It would be desirable to have:
- Experience of being an Authorised Engineer under the Wind Turbine Safety Rules.
- Full GWO, Working at Heights and a Medical.

Location: UK Wide
Hours: 40 hours per week. It would always be our aim for work-life balance to try and ensure that you have your weekends to yourself. However, we have to appreciate the needs of our customers therefore there may be some weekend requirements.
