We are looking for an organised and proactive Technical Manager to take the lead in overseeing our day-to-day operations. In this role, you will be responsible for planning and scheduling work, liaising with our administrative team, and ensuring parts and materials are ordered on time. You will supervise and mentor a team of technicians, providing guidance, training, and support to help them succeed in their roles.

You will be responsible for:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on wind turbines to ensure optimal performance and minimise downtime
  • Take ownership of day-to-day operational planning and scheduling, ensuring work is delivered efficiently and to the highest standards
  • Liaise closely with administrative teams to keep everything running smoothly and ensure deadlines are consistently met
  • Oversee the ordering of parts and materials so that technicians are always fully equipped to do their best work
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire your team of technicians, providing training, coaching, and support to help them grow and excel in their roles
  • Set clear KPIs for your team and ensure they are consistently achieved, driving accountability and high performance
  • Act as the first point of contact for customers, responding quickly to faults and going the extra mile to deliver exceptional service
  • Contribute to building and refining processes that improve how we operate, ensuring we’re always striving for better ways of working
  • Analyse technical data and support the production of insightful monthly reports to help shape decision-making
  • Play an active role in onboarding new technicians, ensuring they feel supported, confident, and part of the team from day one
  • Support the rollout of new systems and technologies that enhance efficiency and service delivery
  • Prepare RAMS for jobs and maintain the highest levels of health & safety compliance across all activities

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • 4 years’ experience in Wind Energy
  • Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude for working with complex machinery
  • Proven leadership ability with experience managing and developing teams
  • Strong organisational and scheduling skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively
  • Customer-focused, with excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Practical problem-solving approach, able to respond quickly to operational issues
  • Sound understanding of health & safety requirements, including RAMS
  • Comfortable analysing technical data and contributing to reporting
  • Process-driven, with a focus on continuous improvement and efficiency

Location: UK Wide

Hours: 40 hours per week. It is our aim for work-life balance to try and ensure you have weekends to yourself. However, there may be some weekend requirements to meet customer needs.
