The predicted salary is between 44000 - 66000 £ per year.

Location: Bristol

Salary: Up to £55,000 + benefits (Bonus, Overtime, Pension & more)

Hours: 37 hours per week

We currently have an exciting opportunity for talented and experienced Systems Performance Lead Engineer, who has come from an Algorithm / Mathematical Modelling background, who will provide performance prediction and analysis expertise to major defence programmes at top secret level. You will be joining a world class technical engineering company based in Bristol.

The opportunity:

We are looking for a System Performance Lead for a Special Projects team on a highly secretive Programme. As part of the role, you will be responsible for a number of activities, including:

  • Conducting system-level performance evaluations of novel concepts against their requirements
  • Conducting trade studies to inform lower-level design
  • Generate and agree scenarios with key customers to be used for scenario-based performance evaluation
  • Definition of the modelling strategy to conduct these assessments
  • Ownership of development and delivery of models and algorithms
  • Delivery of Performance Statements to customers
  • Coordinating inputs from wider functions to support system design and performance analysis

Skills and qualifications required from the following:

  • Ideally a Degree or Masters in an Engineering, Mathematics or Science related subject
  • Either currently DV cleared engineer or the willingness to go through DV Clearance
  • Broad systems engineering background, preferably covering all phases of development from concept to certification
  • Experience in the management, development and use of tools, simulations, and algorithms produced in MATLAB and Simulink
  • Ability to work at pace within a broad multi-functional team, delivering complex information into project collaborators
  • Experience in data analysis and technical report writing
  • Ability to develop requirements collaboratively with partners
