The Functional Validation & Verification Lead will drive the UK programme element for the functional systems engineering team on major international export contracts. The Functional Validation & Verification Lead reports into a Chief Systems Engineer via the Certification Lead, working to deliver an important military programme and support the In-Service Support team in supporting and maintaining the key product.
Key to this role is the ability to lead a growing team of systems engineers to ensure certification delivery timescales are met under challenging conditions. With an in-service capability to support and capability enhancements to deliver, across a number of customers, this programme is a great place to build breadth of experience or to put your existing skills and experience to use to deliver military capability.
The Functional Validation & Verification Lead will be comfortable adapting themselves and their approach to the challenge at hand; they will maintain vision amongst complexity and be adept at communicating this vision to drive, engage and influence partners.

Skills Required:
- A highly motivated self-starter who can work both independently and as part of a team whilst managing the priorities of a number of varied tasks in the context of a bigger picture
- Experience of systems engineering process and managing a team to deliver Certificates of Design into the programme.
- The ability to adapt to new challenges assessing evidence from various sources
- Experience of DOORS, and requirements management processes
- Ability to organise and manage a small team of systems engineers to ensure they are efficiently working to meet the plans.
- Ideally degree educated in a relevant engineering or science discipline
- You will need to obtain UK Security Clearance for this role. This will require you to be a UK Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship.
