What you will be doing:

  • Working closely with customers to understand and capture operational requirements
  • Developing system, subsystem and software requirements that deliver practical engineering solutions
  • Supporting the development of common product solutions that can be adapted for different customer needs
  • Managing engineering change through structured processes and governance
  • Acting as the technical customer for specific software developments
  • Contributing to system development activities and engineering trade studies
  • Collaborating with engineering teams across multiple disciplines throughout the product lifecycle

You will ideally have experience in several of the following:

  • Requirements management and requirements derivation
  • Systems engineering within a complex engineering environment
  • Requirements management tools such as DOORS, DOORS Next or Rhapsody
  • Engineering change management and configuration control
  • Developing complex systems throughout the engineering lifecycle
  • Producing and communicating technical architectures
  • Leading technical discussions with customers and stakeholders
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience of product line engineering would be advantageous but is not essential
