An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Systems Engineer to join a growing and highly innovative maritime defence programme supporting multiple UK and international customers. This role sits within a dynamic engineering environment focused on the sustainment, evolution and future development of a sophisticated naval air defence capability. You will play a pivotal role in shaping future system architecture, supporting integration activities and driving technical studies that influence long-term capability development.

What you will be doing:
  • Leading technical studies and assessments to support future capability evolution
  • Supporting combat systems integration activities across UK and export programmes
  • Managing and defining system architecture activities
  • Investigating and resolving technical issues throughout the product lifecycle
  • Reviewing and analysing technical data to support engineering decisions
  • Supporting trials activities both on-site and at external locations
  • Providing technical input for new business and export opportunities
  • Supporting verification, safety, security and performance activities
  • Managing task packages and contributing to subsystem/interface definition
What you will bring:
  • Proven experience across the Systems Engineering lifecycle
  • Experience with requirements capture, design drivers and verification processes
  • Strong systems integration and interface definition experience
  • Background in system architecture development
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent activities proactively
  • Experience with RTC and DOORS would be advantageous
