We are recruiting a Systems Validation and Verification Engineer to join a growing engineering team in Bristol. This role is ideal for an engineer with proven experience in requirements-based validation and verification within a structured systems engineering environment. You will be responsible for planning, executing, and documenting verification activities to ensure systems meet defined requirements and are fit for purpose. The role offers hands-on involvement across the full verification lifecycle and close collaboration with systems, design, and test teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and carry out validation and verification activities across complex systems
- Produce and maintain verification plans, test strategies, and verification matrices
- Verify system requirements using analysis, inspection, test, and demonstration
- Ensure verification methods are appropriate and aligned to system requirements
- Execute test procedures and document results clearly and accurately
- Produce verification reports for engineering and project stakeholders
- Support compliance with internal processes and applicable standards
- Work closely with cross-functional engineering teams to resolve verification issues
Required Skills and Experience
- Proven experience as a Validation and Verification Engineer or Systems Verification Engineer
- Strong understanding of systems engineering and requirements-based verification
- Experience producing verification plans, test procedures, and technical reports
- Ability to manage multiple verification activities in a structured environment
- High attention to detail with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Engineering or technical background relevant to complex systems
Desirable Experience
- Experience working in a regulated or standards-driven industry
- Familiarity with full systems engineering lifecycles
