We're recruiting for an Electronics Technician to join a growing Calibration & Maintenance team supporting the manufacture and testing of some of the world's most advanced Defence equipment. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with cutting-edge test equipment, from DC through to Microwave technologies, within a highly skilled engineering environment.

The Role

Working as part of an experienced Calibration & Maintenance team, you'll be responsible for the planned calibration, maintenance and repair of Special to Type Test Equipment (STTE) used across complex manufacturing and test programmes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Calibrating and maintaining factory test and measuring equipment
  • Carrying out repairs to component level where required
  • Supporting production operations within a multi-disciplinary engineering environment
  • Producing accurate maintenance and calibration records
  • Working closely with engineers and support teams to resolve technical issues

What we are looking for

  • An Electrical Engineering or Manufacturing Apprenticeship (Advanced Level or Level 3 Standard)
  • A Level 3 academic qualification (ONC, Diploma or equivalent)
  • A Level 3 vocational qualification (NVQ or equivalent)

You will also bring:

  • Experience in calibration of test equipment
  • Knowledge of test system maintenance and fault finding
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • A good understanding of calibration principles and processes
  • A quality and safety-focused approach
