Working alongside experienced engineers and technical specialists, you'll contribute to innovative programmes by developing, maintaining and validating high-fidelity models that support design decisions, testing activities and performance analysis. This is a varied role offering exposure across the full engineering lifecycle, from early concept work through to testing and post-trial analysis. Most importantly, you will enjoy solving complex technical problems, analysing sophisticated systems and working collaboratively within multidisciplinary engineering teams.
What you will be doing
- Developing and maintaining mathematical and simulation models for complex engineering systems
- Supporting concept studies, design development and trade-off analysis
- Carrying out verification and validation activities to ensure model accuracy and integrity
- Integrating externally developed model components into larger simulation environments
- Investigating technical challenges and developing robust engineering solutions
- Working closely with stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure models remain fit for purpose
- Producing high-quality technical documentation and maintaining design records in line with quality standards
What we are looking for
- Experience in MATLAB & Simulink, or similar simulation environments
- Programming in C/C++, FORTRAN or similar engineering languages
- Mathematical modelling of complex dynamic systems
- Systems engineering principles and engineering lifecycle processes
- Verification and validation of simulation models
- Configuration and change management tools would be advantageous
