We are looking for an Electrical Systems Engineer / Electrical Architect to take ownership of the electrical architecture across a complex Laser Directed Energy system. You will ensure electrical functionality, performance and constraints are aligned across multiple subsystems, suppliers and design authorities. This is a system-level engineering role, working at the interface between equipment design, integration and system architecture.

What the role involves:

  • Defining and managing electrical requirements across the system
  • Coordinating with equipment design authorities and suppliers
  • Supporting system integration and acceptance of equipment deliveries
  • Leading technical progress meetings and engineering milestone reviews
  • Managing statements of work, performance metrics and technical risks
  • Supporting engineering lifecycle activities including PDR, DDR and CDR
  • Working across systems, mechanical, software and electrical engineering teams

You will spend time working with stakeholders, reviewing designs, supporting integration activities and ensuring electrical architecture decisions support the wider system.
