If you're an experienced Systems Engineer in aerospace or safety-critical communications, you'll know how rare it is to find a role where systems thinking genuinely drives the product. This is one of those roles. You'll join an established engineering organisation delivering RF and aviation communication systems used in critical operational environments worldwide. Engineering standards are high. The work is complex. And your input will directly influence product architecture and long-term direction.
The Opportunity
This is a senior, hands‑on systems role spanning the full development lifecycle. You will:
- Capture and structure high-level customer and regulatory requirements
- Define and review system architectures and interfaces
- Ensure clean requirement flow-down into hardware and software
- Lead and support structured Verification & Validation activity
- Drive best‑practice systems engineering aligned to the V-model
- Influence product coherence, commonality and future roadmap decisions
You won't be boxed into a narrow slice of the lifecycle. You'll have genuine technical ownership.
What We're Looking For
- Strong Systems Engineering experience within aerospace or other high‑integrity, regulated environments
- Proven experience across the full product lifecycle
- Solid grounding in RF, communications systems or radio technologies
- Experience with VHF/UHF, CNS or aviation communications is highly desirable
- Degree in Engineering, Physics or related discipline (or equivalent depth of experience)
This is not an IT infrastructure role. It suits engineers who understand physical systems, integration challenges and operational reliability.
Why This Move Makes Sense
- Stable, long‑established engineering business
- Products with real-world operational impact
- Technical depth and long lifecycle programmes
- Flexible working
- 25 days' holiday + bank holidays
- Up to 8% pension contribution
- Private healthcare
- Ongoing professional development
If you're at the stage in your career where you want more technical influence, more ownership and a business that respects disciplined engineering, this is worth a serious conversation.
