About the Role:
Cirrus Nexus UK is seeking a Platform Integration Specialist to support a high-profile financial services client. This role focuses on designing, building, and maintaining integrations between enterprise architecture tooling platforms and wider enterprise systems to enable automated data flows, reporting, and analytics. You will work hands-on with APIs, data transformation, and integration workflows, collaborating closely with enterprise architects, application teams, and client stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Integration Design & Development: Design and implement integrations between enterprise architecture platforms and enterprise systems (e.g. Planview, ServiceNow, CMDB). Build and maintain automated data synchronisation and extraction workflows. Define data mappings and transformation logic to ensure consistency across systems. Implement error handling, logging, and reconciliation for integration processes.
- API & Data Management: Develop and consume RESTful APIs using platform and enterprise system APIs. Work with EA tooling data models, schemas, and relationship structures. Implement secure API authentication (OAuth 2.0, API tokens, service accounts). Monitor data quality and apply validation rules. Optimise integration performance through batching, incremental updates, and scheduling.
- Monitoring, Support & Knowledge Transfer: Monitor scheduled integration jobs and automated workflows. Configure alerts and notifications for failures or data discrepancies. Troubleshoot integration issues and coordinate resolution with vendors and internal teams. Produce integration documentation, runbooks, and troubleshooting guides. Transfer integration knowledge to client teams.
- Collaboration & Technical Delivery: Gather integration requirements with enterprise architects and data owners. Coordinate changes with application teams and support release activities. Test and adapt integrations during platform upgrades. Document integration architecture, data flows, and technical specifications.
Technical Skills:
- Strong experience with RESTful API development and integration patterns.
- Experience working with JSON, XML, CSV, and data transformation logic.
- SQL and database knowledge for data extraction and loading.
- Familiarity with enterprise architecture tooling platforms and their data models.
- Experience with API authentication and security mechanisms.
- Understanding of job scheduling and orchestration.
Professional Experience:
- 3β5+ yearsβ experience in integration, API development, or related technical roles.
- Proven experience integrating enterprise applications and platforms.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for complex integration issues.
- Experience working in enterprise IT or regulated environments.
- Financial services or consulting experience advantageous.
- Hands-on experience with BiZZdesign Enterprise Studio Open API.
- Experience integrating with Planview, ServiceNow, or CMDB platforms.
- Knowledge of ArchiMate or EA frameworks.
- Experience with messaging platforms (Kafka, RabbitMQ, Azure Service Bus).
- Exposure to ETL, data warehousing, or cloud integration services (Azure, AWS, GCP).
