Cirrus Logic\’s Hardware organization is seeking hardworking Analog IC Design Engineers to join our team developing high-performance data converter IC\’s and amplifiers for consumer markets. In this position, you will design high-performance delta-sigma/SAR ADC’s and DAC’s and will also have opportunities to participate in the design of various classes of amplifiers, DC/DC converters, and other circuitry in advanced CMOS processes. This is an important position in a lively, exciting, and dynamic environment that provides excellent opportunities for personal and professional growth.
Responsibilities
- Drive and decide key technical system requirements for mixed-signal IC development
- Build the analog top level, defining power strategy and top level layout placement
- Familiar with analog-on-top or digital-on-top design flows
- Experience of ADC/DAC and or DC/DC designs
- Experienced in ESD and IO driver design
- Simulation of top level systems in Virtuoso Spectre (or similar)
- Lead design reviews
- Take an active role in mentoring other engineers
- Review and sign-off of the chip top level for tape out
Required Skills & Qualifications
- BSc / MSc with several years of proven IC development experience
- Strong skills in CMOS analog design and layout
- Proven experience in coordinating small teams of engineers from design to successful tape-outs
- Solid understanding of using Verilog-A, and System Verilog or Matlab
- Organized and detailed with strong communication skills
- Possess outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills
- Results-oriented and thrive in a dynamic environment
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Knowledge of discrete-time and continuous-time signal processing
- Strong s-domain and z-domain analysis skills
- Experience in system and behavioral modeling
- Experience mentoring junior engineers
- Good silicon debug skills
- Understanding of layout
- Understanding of reliability concerns
- Experience designing for different CMOS processes and geometry nodes
This position is based in our Edinburgh office, UK
This is a hybrid remote position and will follow a 2+ day in-office work schedule, with in-office days based on business needs and team preference. You must be based within commutable distance of the work location listed on the job posting, or willing to relocate prior to beginning employment with Cirrus Logic.
