Cirrus Logic is seeking a talented Staff Analog Design Engineer specializing in power conversion technologies. In this role, you will join a collaborative team focused on developing high-performance mixed-signal integrated circuits, including advanced power converters and related circuitry using state-of-the-art CMOS processes. You will play a key part in creating next-generation devices and ensuring that leading consumer electronics manufacturers can seamlessly integrate our solutions into their products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Model and develop advanced power conversion solutions and associated circuitry, taking designs from initial specification through concept, architecture, and integration into high-performance mixed-signal ICs.
  • Implement designs at transistor level.
  • Oversee all aspects of layout implementation, including post-layout simulation and optimization.
  • Conduct hands-on laboratory evaluation and debugging of silicon.
  • Support post-silicon activities such as product validation, characterization, and production testing.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in electronic or electrical engineering (or equivalent), with several years of industry experience.
  • Deep understanding of the analog design flow, as well as architecture considerations, design implementation, and chip integration.
  • Proficiency with high-level modeling tools such as MATLAB, Simulink, Simplis, LTSpice, or similar.
  • Expertise in power conversion architectures, transistor-level design, and simulation.
  • Solid understanding of control theory as it applies to power conversion.
  • Proven hands-on experience designing inductive and/or capacitive power converters.
  • Practical lab testing and debugging skills using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and related equipment.
  • Knowledge of device physics, parasitics, and fundamentals of ESD/latch up protection.
  • Experience with automotive products and familiarity with relevant safety requirements is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

This position is based in our Edinburgh, UK office. This is a hybrid position and will follow a 2+ day in-office work schedule, with in-office days based on business needs and team preference. You must be based within commutable distance of the work location listed on the job posting, or willing to relocate prior to beginning employment with Cirrus Logic.
