Position Salary: 'Technician 2' Range: £24,434 - £25,847 (FTE). Salary dependent on qualifications and experience. Contract: 0.5, Permanent, Term Time Only. Required by: 25th August 2026.
Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding support for lecturers to facilitate effective teaching and learning.
- Manage the upkeep and maintenance of stock and equipment, ordering items as appropriate, and maintain the tech lab.
- Work closely with students to support their progress, including facilitating instruction and supervision in the workshop and classroom.
- Become involved in enrichment for students and/or adults by supporting or running workshops.
- Carry out practical demonstrations and training.
- Take ownership of health and safety processes and risk assessments in the workshop.
Qualifications & Skills
- Ideal candidates should possess Biology/Chemistry qualifications or a background from any part of the STEM sector.
- Candidates must have a commitment to providing high quality learning to enable all learners to achieve their full potential, be motivated to achieve high standards, and display enthusiasm and strong teamwork skills.
- Outstanding organisational and interpersonal skills are essential.
