Cirencester College have an exciting new role of Learning Support Technician. This is a great opportunity for an innovative, forward thinking, support worker to join our thriving College and be at the forefront of developing and creating a joined up whole college approach to supporting students. With this role you will be specifically tasked with supporting students with a MyPlan. The successful applicant will have an opportunity to demonstrate their ability to work across college with a wide range of staff and students from all Faculties. You will have the confidence to actively participate in discussions, Faculty and team meetings and reviews relating to the learners that you are supporting.
The post holder will be expected to:
- Provide the link between teaching teams and learning support
- Be responsible for the successful high-quality support for individuals or groups of learners in class/out of class and in workshop situations
- Work effectively as part of the team, liaising, advising and consulting with teaching and non-teaching staff as appropriate
We are looking for someone who:
- Has a good level of general education, including GCSE English and Maths Grade 4 / C or above, and who would be confident supporting in both areas
- Has the confidence to liaise with staff, external agencies and parents / carers as required to effectively share information as necessary
- The ability to truly work as a team player is also essential
- Will demonstrate outstanding organisational and interpersonal skills
