We are recruiting for a Land Acquisition Manager to join a well-established and growing Renewable Energy Developer in the UK. Our client is a pro-active developer with a strong pipeline of projects across Utility Scale Solar / BESS, and Wind Project across the UK, along with a strong operational portfolio of projects. Previous land acquisition/buyer experience within renewables is highly preferred but full training can be provided for the right candidate.

Expected salary: £44,000 - £60,000 for someone with 2-3 years of experience plus bonuses / benefits. (they could be open to more senior profiles with further growth expected)

Location: London HQ (Central) or remote

The Role:

  • You will be responsible for researching land, finding landowner details, and making direct contacts with landowners.
  • You will report to the Head of Land Development and work closely with a small-knit Development & Technical Engineering team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Site finding and identification of led development opportunities across the UK;
  • Establish effective working relationships directly with landowners and land agents;
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with landowners and land agents;
  • Prepare concise assessment of land for development including feasibility and assessing the planning credentials of any site;
  • Work closely with the land director to conduct land appraisals to determine the value of any potential development land;
  • Prepare land offers that meet the requirements of the business;
  • Prepare and produce due diligence and Heads of Terms;
  • Maintain and manage the land list and take an active role in the land department;
  • Liaise with our planning team and external consultants to ensure the successful delivery of applications and decisions.
