Circular Resourcing are pleased to be working with an Engineering Consultancy based in London with a keen interest in working with clients to help them de-carbonise and offer cleaner energy solutions mainly across the building services industry. This is a great opportunity for career development with a small, but growing, and nimble team in place working with excellent clients across the UK.

About the role / company: Well-established consultancy with 15+ years of experience in the UK, working closely with clients to help decarbonise their buildings. Their main clients are commercial real estate landlords who need help assessing their office buildings, warehouses and various other types of facilities to come up with decarbonisation solutions. They engage our client to conduct / assess their Electrical Infrastructure, and the assessments then dictate the course of action required around electrical upgrades for their properties and buildings. They boast some of the biggest real estate developers and asset managers across the UK as their clients and are currently working on some innovative and interesting projects within this portfolio.

Job responsibilities:

  • Analysis of clients' current set ups and feasibility studies into what services, systems and upgrades to their infrastructure are realistic.
  • Concept and Design – alternative technology/equipment including new boilers, heating systems, solar PV (rooftop).
  • Technical design on systems.
  • Applications and liaising with DNOs for electrical/power upgrades.
  • Nature of supply enquiries.
  • Electrical metering and monitoring experience.
  • Essential to have demonstrable knowledge & experience working to British Wiring Standards.
  • Strong knowledge of LV infrastructure – experience putting together LV Condition Surveys important to be able to demonstrate.
  • Creating in-depth reports to clients based on findings from site visits, feasibility and technical design recommendations.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with C&I Solar PV Design software.
  • Commercial property Electrical Qualifications.

Ideal background:

  • Experience within building services / working with net zero buildings / decarbonisation packages of work would be nice to have.
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • 2-5 years experience in the UK market.
